Anne Rockwell (1934-2018) has written numerous books for children, including At the Beach and The First Snowfall, both illustrated by Harlow Rockwell.

Harlow Rockwell (1910-1988) was an acclaimed artist and was often his wife Anne Rockwell's collaborator on her books, among them At the Beach, The First Snowfall, and My Spring Robin.
