Author Biography
Joan Novelli, a former classroom teacher, reading specialist, and editor with Scholastic Inc., has 20 years experience in educational publishing. She has written numerous books for Scholastic including Easy-to-Make Books That Target Specific Reading Needs (co-author), Shoe Box Learning Centers: Phonics, Teaching With Favorite Cynthia Rylant Books, Building Foundations in Math: Shapes, and 40 Sensational Sight Word Games. Joan is co-owner of On the Ball Productions, a company that develops educational products for teachers and kids. She lives in Burlington, Vermont with her son.
Holly Grundon, a former art director for Scholastic Inc., has 20 years experience in the design field. She has designed more than a hundred books for Scholastic Teaching Resources, including the Shoe Box Learning Center series and the Big Book of Pocket Chart Poems: ABC's and 123's. Holly is co-owner of On the Ball Productions, a company that creates educational products for teachers and kids. She lives in Lincoln, Vermont with her husband and their children.
